Massachusetts State Police have arrested several individuals after discovering illegal firearms and narcotics during a routine traffic stop on I-91 in Deerfield. Following an initial encounter, police suspected the vehicle was being used to transport illegal substances, prompting them to search the car.
In the vehicle, officers seized a stolen loaded Glock handgun, a firearm with a defaced serial number, along with approximately 1.5 kilograms of cocaine and 120 grams of pure fentanyl. This significant drug bust highlights the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in curbing the illegal drug trade and gun violence in New England.
