The state of Zacatecas has unveiled an innovative security measure with the introduction of a remote-controlled DogBot, equipped to carry and fire an assault weapon. This advanced robot, which can move at speeds up to 13.4 mph, is part of a larger $53 million investment in public safety aimed at reducing crime in a region plagued by violence, including a homicide rate of 29.7 per 100,000 people in 2024.
