Authorities have charged 27-year-old Dontae Jerome Harrison with first-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with a deadly shooting that left 30-year-old Demarcus Gerald dead on December 7, 2024. Investigators allege that Harrison and accomplices carried out a violent theft, threatening their victims with a .40 caliber handgun in the process.
During the robbery, thieves reportedly stole approximately $500 in cash, clothing, and luxury items, including a Louis Vuitton bag. Prosecutors contend that Gerald’s life was placed in immediate danger, asserting that Harrison acted with malice when he allegedly killed him. Harrison remains in custody as the investigation continues into this tragic event.
