Lane County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at Banner Bank in Creswell today. The incident, which occurred around 2 p.m., involved the suspect using a note to demand cash from the teller and is connected to a similar robbery in Cottage Grove on the same day.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing around 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green ball cap, aviator sunglasses, and black clothing. Authorities have identified a 1998-2003 gold Ford Escort ZX2 as the vehicle used in both robberies, and they urge anyone with information to call 911, warning that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
