Officers from the department’s Youth Violence Strike Force found the unlicensed firearm loaded with ammunition after stopping Louis for using false plates on an uninsured vehicle.
During a 24-hour period, the BPD responded to 198 incidents, including multiple robberies and assaults, indicating a notable surge in criminal activity. Among the charges Pierre Louis faces are unlawful possession of a firearm and operating a vehicle without a license, reflecting ongoing concerns regarding gun violence and public safety in the area.
