Gun violence in Springfield, Missouri continues to decline significantly, attributed to a concerted effort by law enforcement, city leaders, and community members through the Gun Safety and Violence Reduction Collaborative. In 2023, calls to police regarding shootings fell to 317, even as 57 individuals were injured, highlighting the effectiveness of initiatives aimed at reducing youth gun violence.
