In its message, the church outlines standard safety measures, such as being aware of one’s surroundings and having emergency response protocols in place. This has sparked debate within the community, as various studies indicate a link between increased gun access and higher gun-related deaths. With a member initiating a petition that has garnered 92 signatures to date, the discussion continues about the balance between security and safety in places of worship amidst rising concerns following the tragic event.
