Monticello Man Sentenced After Gun Photo on Social Media

A Monticello man has been sentenced to five years in prison after a social media post featuring him holding a handgun led to his arrest. Harry Lundy, 44, who has an extensive violent criminal record, was found with a loaded pistol hidden under his mattress during a visit from law enforcement authorities following the online discovery.

Lundy’s past includes felony convictions for crimes such as burglary and domestic assault, and he was on probation when the gun was uncovered. Under Minnesota law, individuals with previous convictions for violent crimes are banned from possessing firearms, with violations resulting in severe penalties, reinforcing the importance of monitoring repeat offenders.
