Longmont will distribute gun safes following its Veterans Day Parade on November 11, promoting safe and responsible firearm storage. From noon to 2 p.m. at Roosevelt Park, volunteers will provide free gun safes to attendees, a program that follows a successful event in Boulder where 510 safes were handed out in just 20 minutes.
This collaborative initiative involves local organizations such as the Boulder Rotary Club and the YMCA of Northern Colorado, aiming to enhance community safety and awareness. With the parade starting at 11:11 a.m., the event presents a timely opportunity for veterans and community members to engage with important firearm safety resources.
