A man is assaulted and robbed at Liriano Grocery in Boston’s South End, suffering a blow to the face from a bottle during the incident. Around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, police respond after the victim, who also reported being threatened with what he believed to be a firearm, flags down an officer for help.
Following a quick search for the suspects, identified as 42-year-old Jahar Pinkett and 29-year-old Anthony Crumbley, both are arrested nearby after attempts to flee. Authorities find stolen cash on Pinkett, as well as suspected methamphetamine, while both face armed robbery charges with Crumbley additionally charged for the assault with the bottle, shedding light on a disturbing crime in the community.
