An Albany man, Arron Edmonds, is sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of criminal possession of a stolen firearm and a high-capacity magazine. The 22-year-old was caught with a 31-round magazine and ammunition while police responded to a domestic dispute on Clinton Avenue, uncovering a firearm reported stolen in 2017 from Colonie.
Along with the prison term, Edmonds will also face five years of post-release supervision. His current sentence will run consecutively to a previous conviction for drug possession, highlighting a troubling pattern of criminal behavior.
