A 20-year-old Lee’s Summit man, Jeremiah Johnson, has been charged with second-degree murder following a fatal shooting incident that occurred during a botched gun deal at a downtown apartment complex. The incident, which happened just after midnight on October 21, resulted in the death of 38-year-old Vincent Taylor, who was shot in the face as he attempted to defend himself against two armed assailants.
Surveillance footage captured the confrontation, revealing the escalating violence that led to the tragedy. Johnson, who reportedly confessed to the murder, faces multiple charges including armed criminal action and first-degree felony robbery.
