Austin police have arrested 55-year-old Harold Keene in connection with two shootings on Saturday, one at the Central Library and another on a CapMetro bus. Keene reportedly confessed to using a stolen handgun in both attacks, which left one victim injured in the library and another grazed by a bullet on the bus, according to an arrest affidavit.

In addition to multiple charges, including aggravated assault and drug offenses, Keene has a lengthy criminal history dating back to the late 1980s, raising concerns about his mental health and public safety.
