New York State Troopers arrested Anthony J. Carbonaro, 56, and Harvey E. Black, 72, in Van Buren on October 27 for possession of illegal weapons and controlled substances. During a search of their residence, officers discovered several assault rifles, over $7,200 in cash, and various controlled pills, leading to serious felony charges against both individuals.
Carbonaro faces multiple counts related to weapon and drug possession, including Class D Felonies for assault rifles and high-capacity magazines. In contrast, Black is charged with a more serious Class B Felony for drug possession, along with several misdemeanors. Both men were taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center as the investigation continues.
