A Connecticut woman, Michelle F. Yeagher, has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting 39-year-old Andrew Michael Olson in the chest while he was watching the animated film “Toy Story” with a 12-year-old child. The incident occurred on Monday night in Killingly, prompting state police to respond to the scene where they found Olson critically injured; he later succumbed to his wounds at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam.
The situation escalated when Yeagher reportedly retrieved a firearm from a safe after feeling frightened, leading to the shooting. Upon police arrival, Yeagher appeared intoxicated and claimed, “He tried to kill me,” suggesting a chaotic and unclear motive behind the violent act. She now faces multiple charges, including murder and reckless endangerment, and remains in custody with a bail set at $1 million, awaiting her court appearance on December 11. The investigation into the complex relationships among those involved continues.
