The DeWitt Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited is set to hold its annual fundraising banquet on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Arkansas County Fairgrounds, with funds raised directly benefiting the Arkansas County 4-H Shooting Sports Program. Starting at 6 p.m., the event will feature games, a social hour, and a catered dinner, plus exciting raffles and auctions for outdoor gear, including firearms and equipment.
Half of the net proceeds from the banquet will be donated to the local 4-H program, which aims to teach youth about firearm safety and marksmanship while fostering confidence and teamwork. Phil Horton, the Arkansas County Extension agent, expresses enthusiasm for the event, highlighting it as a significant opportunity for both deer hunters and young participants to engage in essential skills. Tickets are available for $40 at the door for adults and $20 for youth.
