A New Boston man, William Gossett, 49, is arrested early Thursday for allegedly committing a series of armed robberies at local convenience stores in Mount Pleasant. The incidents began around 1:30 a.m. when police responded to a robbery at a CEFCO store, where a suspect armed with a knife demanded cash before fleeing in a white vehicle.
Further investigation linked Gossett to another attempted robbery shortly after the initial crime, prompting police to identify and apprehend him based on witness descriptions. Officers recovered all stolen money and reported no injuries, underscoring the swift police response to the dangerous situation.
