Authorities have charged 21-year-old Jose Rosales-Torres and a 16-year-old accomplice in the armed robbery of a convenience store in Port Sheldon Township. The incident unfolded on October 29 at approximately 10:50 a.m. when the duo threatened a clerk with a gun and fled the scene before police arrived.
After the robbery, deputies initiated a pursuit but lost sight of the suspects’ vehicle, which was later found abandoned. Three individuals attempting to escape were detained, leading to the arrest of Rosales-Torres and the teenager, who is being charged as an adult. Both suspects have a bond set at $350,000, highlighting the seriousness of the charges against them.
