On Halloween night, two officers from the Nampa Police Department shot a teenager after he reportedly attacked his mother and threatened law enforcement with a knife. Responding to a disturbance around 7:30 p.m., officers found the mother outside with visible injuries while the teenager had retreated into their nearby home.
When police attempted to engage with him, the teenager allegedly confronted them with a knife, prompting the officers to discharge their weapons, striking him in the abdomen and both arms. The teen is now in serious condition at a local hospital, while his mother is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
