In a significant traffic stop on Interstate 80, Nebraska State Patrol troopers arrest two individuals following the discovery of a substantial amount of drugs and weapons. The incident occurred near Aurora when a trooper noticed a Saturn SUV failing to maintain its lane and subsequently detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
During the search, authorities confiscate approximately 15 pounds of suspected marijuana, one gram of methamphetamine, two handguns, and drug paraphernalia. The driver, 68-year-old Alfred Stewart, faces charges for possession of marijuana over one pound and possession of a firearm during a drug offense. Meanwhile, passenger Tamesa Stewart, aged 50, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, highlighting a serious situation unfolding on Nebraska roads.
