Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the fatal shooting of two men during a jewelry store robbery in Little Village. The incident, which occurred on Saturday around 5:49 p.m. on the 3800-block of 26th Street, was captured on surveillance video, showing the armed suspect fleeing the scene in a white SUV after the altercation with the victims, who were 63 and 25 years old.
According to authorities, the suspect entered the jewelry store, stole merchandise, and shot both men multiple times as they attempted to confront him outside, leading to their critical injuries and later deaths at Mt. Sinai Hospital. As the investigation continues, the community is urged to provide any information that could help bring the shooter to justice.
