Kalamazoo police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a drug and weapons investigation, seizing a loaded firearm along with various illegal substances. On November 4, members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team executed a search warrant in the area of Wells Place and James Street, targeting suspected drug sales and illegal weapon possession.
During the arrest, police discovered the suspect in a vehicle where they found multiple substances on him. A subsequent search of his residence revealed crack cocaine, heroin/fentanyl, and evidence of drug manufacturing and distribution, alongside cash believed to be from drug sales. Given the suspect’s felony record, he is not permitted to possess firearms, leading to more serious charges against him as he is held at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
