The incident occurred near Santa Ana Boulevard and Shelton Street and is captured in a now-viral video, prompting questions about the circumstances leading to the officer’s actions and whether they were justified.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, the unidentified woman followed the agent while recording him and refused to comply with his commands. An ICE spokesperson remarked on escalating violence against federal agents, noting a 1,000% increase in assaults including vehicle ramming and threats to their safety. The Fullerton Police Department, who responded to the scene, indicated that they do not assist in immigration enforcement operations. The woman remains unidentified and has not returned to the area since the incident.
