Among the funded projects are initiatives to remove invasive species and improve nesting habitats for threatened wildlife, including a $24,000 investment for habitat improvement in Wood County. DNR Secretary Karen Hyun emphasizes that such public-led efforts are crucial for preserving access to natural spaces for future generations of outdoor enthusiasts.
