Rochester police have arrested 22-year-old Dayveion Haygood for carrying a loaded 9mm “ghost gun” during a traffic stop on Driving Park. The arrest occurred around 4:40 p.m. on November 11 when officers halted a Kia for a traffic violation and discovered the handgun, which was concealed in Haygood’s pocket along with 26 rounds of ammunition.
Haygood is now facing charges of criminal possession of a weapon in both the second and third degrees. The incident raises concerns about the prevalence of untraceable firearms in local communities.
