Ferndale police have arrested 68-year-old Alvin Myron Murray for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery at the First Merchants Bank on November 11. Murray reportedly handed a teller a note demanding money and left with $400 before police were alerted. Evidence suggests that he may also be connected to bank robberies in Ann Arbor and Mount Clemens.
On November 14, detectives managed to locate and apprehend Murray in Southfield after tracking his vehicle using Flock cameras. Authorities discovered items related to the Ferndale robbery in his possession at the time of his arrest. Murray is currently being held on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on November 24.
