A 19-year-old Waterbury resident, Tyrell Anthony Hyde, is charged with multiple offenses, including reckless driving and carrying a concealed weapon, after he led police on a chase on I-91 south in Wallingford. During the pursuit, Hyde discarded a handgun out of the car window, prompting fears of public safety and escalating the severity of his charges.
Hyde was apprehended later in New Haven, where authorities located him following the high-speed incident that began when troopers attempted a traffic stop.
