A 33-year-old wanted felon is shot by police in Michigan following a dramatic chase that began with a traffic stop near Rogers City. Authorities report that the incident occurred in the early morning on November 27, 2025, when deputies from the Presque Isle County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over a pickup truck driven by the man, leading to a pursuit into neighboring Alpena County.
The chase ended when the pickup truck crashed into a ditch along M-65 in Long Rapids Township. Police say when the man exited the vehicle, he brandished a firearm, prompting deputies to open fire. After being injured, he received medical attention at a local hospital and is currently reported to be in stable condition. No deputies were harmed during the encounter, and the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
