Brandenburg, who took ownership in 1999, notes that multiple inquiries to city officials have provided inconsistent responses regarding access to his property. The closure reflects broader challenges, including evolving firearms laws that he believes have hampered sales. The shop has been a community staple, offering not just firearms but unique items like jewelry and rare coins, leaving many loyal customers shocked by the impending loss.
