Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Jersey Mike’s Subs on Cloverdale Avenue in Winston-Salem on Monday night. At approximately 8:43 p.m., a suspect entered the restaurant brandishing a handgun and demanded money from the cash register, successfully fleeing the scene on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
No employees were harmed during the incident, but the suspect has been described as a Black male, around 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The Winston-Salem Police Department encourages anyone with information to reach out to their non-emergency number or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers, as the investigation is still ongoing.
