A 33-year-old man from Lake City, Aljowan Denard, is facing multiple charges, including armed robbery and aggravated assault, following an incident at a local Dollar General on December 2. Police reports indicate that Denard entered the store, selected an alcoholic beverage, and attempted to leave without paying. When confronted by a store employee, he allegedly displayed a handgun and threatened both the employee’s life and the lives of others in the store.
Shortly after the robbery, law enforcement issued a warrant for Denard’s arrest, and he was taken into custody on Tuesday. In addition to the robbery with a firearm charge, he is also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and petit theft, highlighting the severity of the situation.
