A 48-year-old man from Newfield is arrested on 12 felony counts following a search of his residence that revealed 15 firearms and suspected explosive device-making materials. Ransome S. VanRiper is charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of weapons, alongside a charge of possessing stolen property, stemming from an extensive investigation conducted by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with the DEA.
