Arkansas Man Sentenced for Harrah Bank Robbery

Brian Keith Mays, a 58-year-old Arkansas man, is sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for his role in an armed bank robbery at FNB Community Bank in Harrah, Oklahoma, where he brandished a pistol and demanded cash. This incident occurred on July 5, 2024, and investigators determined that Mays made off with more than $12,000, a crime that the U.S. Attorney’s office emphasizes reflects the serious threat posed to bank employees and patrons alike.

During his sentencing, U.S. District Judge Bernard M. Jones highlighted the emotional impact of the robbery while pointing to the collaboration among the FBI and local agencies that led to Mays’ capture. With three years of supervised release following his prison term, Mays’ conviction is part of Operation Take Back America, aimed at tackling violent crime across the nation. The case serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to address bank-related violence.
