Authorities discovered that Knowles had been converting blank-firing handguns into functional firearms, packaging them into “assassination kits” complete with silencers and ammunition intended for the criminal underworld.
During the investigation, police seized a wide range of weapons from Knowles’ property, including crossbows and melee weapons, and linked him to a broader network of individuals involved in gun trafficking. Notably, detectives estimate that Knowles’ operation had manufactured at least 33 firearms, raising grave concerns about the potential for these weapons to be used in violent crimes.
