In a recent operation targeting high-crime areas, Austin Police arrest four individuals and recover multiple handguns and illegal drugs. This proactive enforcement effort focuses on locations identified as having elevated rates of violent offenses and narcotics activity, particularly around Thurmond Street and North Lamar Boulevard.
During the operation, officers executed a search warrant at an apartment, uncovering five handguns along with approximately 1.5 ounces of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. The arrested individuals face various charges, including possession and delivery of controlled substances, as well as firearms offenses. Additional charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.
