Man Injured in Florida City Shooting Early Tuesday

Florida City police are on the case following an early morning shooting that left a man in the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers responded to a gunshot detection alert at approximately 1 a.m. in the 1300 block of Northwest Fifth Avenue, where they found the victim who had run home after being shot.

The man sustained injuries to his upper extremities and was provided immediate medical aid at the scene. He was airlifted to Jackson South Trauma Center, where he is currently in stable condition and remains alert and conscious. As the investigation continues, police have not disclosed further details about the incident or potential suspects.
