Battle Creek police arrest a 31-year-old man following an armed assault incident early Saturday morning, November 22. Officers respond to a report of a suspect brandishing an AR-15 rifle, where a woman alleges the man threatened her and struck her in the face. Concurrently, another woman reportedly attacked her with a liquor bottle, while a third woman discharged a handgun, hitting the victim’s vehicle.
Police locate the hidden AR-15 in a nearby trash can and arrest the suspect on several felony charges, as well as outstanding warrants. Fortunately, the victim suffered no visible injuries but was evaluated on-site by emergency services. Authorities continue to search for the two other women involved in the incident.
