Security forces neutralise 13 terrorists during five distinct operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 12 and 13, according to the military’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations are part of an intensified counter-terrorism strategy aimed at combating a notable spike in violence linked to extremist groups, particularly since the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan.
Among those killed are prominent figures, including Shah Gul, also known as Rohani, during a targeted operation in Dera Ismail Khan. The recent surge in terrorist activity has alarmed officials, with January 2025 witnessing a staggering 42% increase in militant attacks across Pakistan, resulting in 91 fatalities.
