15-Year-Old Dies in Accidental Shooting in Aurora

A 15-year-old boy has died following an apparent accidental shooting at a mobile home park in northwest Aurora, where investigators say three young boys were present. The incident occurred Sunday night when one boy, while playing with a firearm, accidentally discharged the weapon, injuring himself and another teen, who later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The Aurora Police have arrested the boy who handled the gun on suspicion of second-degree murder, as they continue to investigate how the teenagers accessed the firearm. With the names of the minors withheld, authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers. This tragic event raises urgent questions about gun safety and access among young people.
