17-Year-Old Arrested for Armed Robbery in Lynchburg

A 17-year-old male suspect is arrested by the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) just 20 minutes after an armed robbery incident on Sunday afternoon. The robbery occurred at approximately 12:45 PM when the suspect approached an adult female using a public restroom on Park Avenue and displayed what appeared to be a handgun, demanding her purse.

Thanks to the prompt response of local law enforcement, the suspect was apprehended quickly, with police discovering he was in possession of a pellet gun that closely resembled a real firearm. He is currently held in juvenile detention as authorities prepare formal charges, highlighting the ongoing commitment of the LPD to ensure community safety.
