The complex, officially named the Pete Lien & Sons Shooting Sports Complex, has drawn attention due to its substantial funding from the gun industry, covering about one-third of the total cost. Notably, companies like Smith & Wesson and Glock are among the key donors, prompting discussions in the legislature about the implications of such financial support for state projects and firearm regulation in the state, raising concerns for various lawmakers.
