Seven hunters in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, are cited for hunting migratory game birds over an illegal baited area, following surveillance by wildlife agents. The agents observed the hunters during an operation on January 26, seizing 19 wood ducks which were subsequently donated to a local charity.
Among those cited is John Methvin, 47, who faces multiple charges, including aiding and abetting illegal hunting. The case has been referred to the U.S. attorney’s office for potential federal prosecution, highlighting the state’s efforts to regulate wildlife hunting practices.
