During a recent week of “Operation Consequences” in San Bernardino County, law enforcement authorities made 99 arrests and seized 42 firearms, including 12 un-serialized ghost guns. These operations, conducted from February 17 to February 23, involved serving nine search warrants, with outcomes including 46 felony arrests and 53 misdemeanor arrests, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The countywide initiative aims to address crime by targeting convicted felons and gang members prohibited from possessing guns. Launched in October 2022, “Operation Consequences” seeks to provide additional resources for law enforcement to combat issues affecting community safety. Locations for these significant raids included various streets in Victorville and Apple Valley, underscoring a concerted effort by local police departments and agencies such as U.S. Homeland Security.
