Niagara Falls Man Charged Following Police Shooting Incident

Anthony Ciccarelli, a 24-year-old from Niagara Falls, is now facing serious charges, including first-degree reckless endangerment, following an officer-involved shooting that stemmed from a police chase on April 17. The incident took place on the 1100 block of Connecting Road, where Ciccarelli fled from a traffic stop, leading to the eventual police confrontation that resulted in the shooting.

At an arraignment held in Niagara Falls City Court, Ciccarelli pleaded not guilty to the charges, which also encompass multiple violations of vehicle and traffic laws. This case not only raises questions about the escalation of police pursuits but also sheds light on ongoing public safety concerns within the community. Residents are urged to stay informed as the legal proceedings unfold.
