The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an active investigation into an armed robbery that allegedly targeted a suspected drug dealer in Chipley. Late Thursday night, deputies received reports of masked individuals attempting to break into a back shed, only to find a pickup truck leaving the scene as they arrived.
Deputies arrested 44-year-old Jermaine Marks and 43-year-old Antuan Odom, identifying Odom as one of the robbery victims with visible injuries. Following the suspects’ apprehension, a search of the property revealed over 41 pounds of marijuana and 2 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in the woods, highlighting the potential drug connections to the crime. The investigation remains ongoing, with multiple individuals of interest identified.
