Archbald Veterans Monument Park Construction Set to Restart

Construction on the Archbald Borough Veterans Monument Park is poised to resume as temperatures rise, according to park committee Chairman Rob Turlip. Launched in 2016, this tribute aims to feature a striking black granite wall etched with the names and service details of nearly 500 veterans, alongside various statues and decommissioned military equipment.

The park will showcase a pavilion, bronze statues, and a range of military artifacts, including an M60 tank and an anti-aircraft gun. Funded by local grants totaling $401,643, the park committee also organizes events to raise additional funds, such as a pasta dinner on May 3. Turlip expects significant progress by summer, creating a space that honors the sacrifices of U.S. service members.
