Arizona Opens Exclusive Copper State Draw for Hunting

The Arizona Game and Fish Department has launched its Copper State Draw, rebranding its popular permit-tag draw and opening applications on April 2. This initiative offers hunters an exclusive opportunity to aim for prized big-game species, including a rare permit for antlered mule deer on the renowned Kaibab Plateau.

This draw replaces the limited-entry permit system, providing a second chance for hunters to secure tags for elk, mule deer, white-tailed deer, and pronghorn. This year’s rebranding not only introduces new chances for hunters but also highlights the significance of preserving Arizona’s wildlife resources.
