The Arkansas dove hunting season opens this Saturday, September 6, 2025, providing hunters access to nineteen wildlife management areas (WMAs) across the state. These sites feature over 600 acres specially designated for dove hunting, with a significant portion offering public access on a first-come, first-served basis.
This year, hunters can also participate in permit draws at four WMAs including Camp Robinson Special Use Area and Frog Bayou, where various fields have been cultivated specifically for the birds.
