Armed robbery at Birkirkara lotto booth prompts police hunt

The police are actively searching for a man who committed an armed robbery at a lotto booth in Birkirkara on Tuesday afternoon, injuring a 57-year-old cashier in the process. The incident unfolded around 3:30 PM when the masked assailant, armed with a knife, reached through the booth’s window to seize cash from the cashier, who sustained injuries while attempting to resist the attack.
