The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Lucky Food Mart on Main Street Sunday evening. A masked man entered the store around 6:49 p.m., brandishing a firearm and demanding cash before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Authorities report no injuries during the incident, but they have released an image from surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the suspect. Described as a Black male wearing brown coveralls and a ski mask, the assailant remains at large, prompting the Sheriff’s Office to ask for public assistance. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact local authorities or Macon Regional Crimestoppers.
